Mini Assignment:
"Follow the E&P"
Complete the Google Form on Google Classroom. Choose the designs below that BEST follow the rules that implement the elements and principles of design! Submit the assignment on Google Classroom when you are done "Follow the E&P!" 27 pts
Now that you know what the elements and principles are... how do you use them? A beautiful design is not a product of just great imagination or a result of an idea. Rather, it is a product of carefully plotted design elements chosen to create a visual representation of the idea and the imagination.
Five Tips!
1. Use scale and variety to add depth or interest!
Notice the diver and the whale are almost the same size in the first image. If they were really in the space together the whale would have to be way out in the distance but there is nothing else happening (like value change) to show this. The second uses variety of sizes showing the whale and the diver in the same space and not only makes much more visual sense, but is also more interesting to look at!

2. Use color to create contrast!
Use colors to create contrast and differentiation in your design! Notice how the man with arms up in the air "pops" when the intensity of the blue is increased in the second image. Complementary colors are the most contrasting colors you can use and sit across from each other on the color wheel. Changing the value or intensity works great as well!

3. Use your negative and positive space well!
4. Use the idea of shape and form to change perspective!
5. Limit your color palette to create unity! Also be sure your visuals- drawing/imagery styles- are unified.
Use Adobe color to help find the perfect color harmony!
